What are regular verbs?Â
Regular verbs are those that follow a consistent pattern of conjugation across their entire verbal paradigm, meaning they conjugate in the same way following a set of fixed rules for each verb tense. This distinguishes them from irregular verbs, which alter their root or endings in certain tenses and persons.
Conjugations of regular verbsÂ
In Spanish, verbs are classified into three conjugations, based on the ending of the infinitive:
First conjugation (-ar):Â like hablar, estudiar, saltar.
Second conjugation (-er):Â like comer, beber, aprender.
Third conjugation (-ir):Â like vivir, abrir, escribir.
